Figured this is just as good a time as any to post about one of my favorite subjects, about which I have SEVERAL opinions--country music. I'm not talking about the crap played on the radio these days...I'm talking about REAL country music--the music I grew up listeneing to.

I enjoy the old time country and would like to hear more on the history of the artist and writers etc. I don't think there is enough about this sort of thing. People tend to forget where it all begin.
Thanks...I will try to post more as I get a chance. I've had a hectic last few weeks. Any favorite artists in particular?
Dear Beef Stooge, I really enjoyed John Prine he is a CANADIAN and his writing very unique, I was reading an article in the TORONTO STAR on the weekend, he was popular back in the 70's and had some very funny songs at that time. WHERE would I FIND his music. Mini (former anonymous 11:07 AM.} Thanks for replying to previous note. Re: HISTORY OF ARTISTS AND WRITERS.
Mini, I posted a little about Prine. I don't know as much about him as I'd like to (or should), and I've never had a chance to see him live. I've met a few members of the Prine cult though. :)
